The last day of Rat year
Hello all, sorry I didn't update the blog as I said, but I will make this blog back to normal after Chinese New Year*. I had been very busy to clean up my room, even now it's just 70% done -_-, but I will just let it be since tomorrow is Chinese New Year.

Even though for Chinese, we have different ways and stuff for Chinese New Year, so for Malaysians, what we do before Chinese New Year:
1) Buy new clothing, include undies.
2) Clean the house (I think many people dislike it :P)
3) Fill up the rice bowl (It means you will have enough food to eat for the upcoming year)
4) Buying tangerines and also gave it to people.
5) Giving gifts to people as appreciation (Mostly for business people and the close one)
6) Sending Chinese New Year cards (Even though we care about the Environment, but sending a real card is always better than E-card.)
7) Make some snacks and cookies for Chinese New Year (Well, many people just buying actually).

What else? Please remind me for anything I have missed :P.

Tonight is a night for a whole family to have dinner together. Even though some people might work at different cities, but for this special night, they will mostly head back to have dinner together.

Happy Chinese New Year!! Yay, tomorrow onwards is Ox year ^V^(I love cows).

*Chinese New Year means the 15 days starting of a year, for many Chinese based companies, they will have holidays for at least 5 days. The last day of Chinese New Year is also the Chinese Valentine.

Fong

Heart.Beat is finally Released!!!!
Hello, homies, after 1 1/2 year, finally Lee Hom released his new album Heart.Beat!! Of course some countries might not able to get the albums today (Malaysia releases on 5 Jan, some fans ordered from yesasia or any other website...), but you can still listen to the songs online.

Because I haven't got my CDs, I think I will need to wait until next year -_-, so I will only write my review later . However, for the people who have listened to the songs, please share which songs you like and some reviews.

Merry Christmas!!!
Oh hey, it's been around 2 months since my last update, sorry homies... I am going to write something before the new year:
1) The Singapore concert
2) Meeting fans in Taiwan
3) Meeting fans in Singapore
4) Pre order activity in Malaysia.
5) Lee Hom's new album Heart Beat (on 26 Dec)

Of course, if you have anything to write, please send an email to us.

Anyway, here is the big things for Ourhome Philippines, well, Lee Hom knows you guys now, at least he won't forget you guys... He finally mentioned Ourhome Philippines, YAY!!! Some people might think it's not a big deal, but for a new fans club, finally they made it.

By the way, I need one person to help me to take care of this blog, of course I am still taking care this, but I need someone who can online often to help me... Also, I will think something to make this blog active, well, at least it's not so death anymore :P

Credit to Clarissa.

Merry Christmas, HOMIES~~~~~ And Lee Hom..
各位宏迷, 圣誕節快樂.. 嗯, 還有力宏, 圣誕節快樂!!!

Love,
Fong

Hug goodbye
When Lee Hom is sing kiss goodbye in the concert, I had another feeling about hug goodbye.

Usually a homie would know a lot of fans, and even international fans. It’s already hard for the fans in the same country to meet up, and not to mention the international fans. There are rare chances for the fans to visit our countries as travelling or just passing by, but there is always one common reason to meet up, that’s Lee Hom’s concert.

The fans who like to attend the concert in overseas would experience that that trip wasn’t just to see Lee Hom only, but other homies we know. It is always a greet time to meet them and chat, but it is also always a sad time for leaving.

I didn’t do such friendly move for the previous international concerts or activities I went, but I am so regret it as I would hug you goodbye if I had remembered. Just see the USA fans, the HK fans, the Indonesia fans..

I was chatting with the Filipino fans in the gathering, and one of them asked to hug. Even though I didn’t know her as I only knew one, and we just had a chat, but I was still holding my breath to release my sadness while we were hugging, oh dear, when are we meeting again?!

The next day, I went to Xi Men Ding with a close fans whom I just won’t hide anything from her. After our lunch, when she was about to leave, I asked to hug her, as I wasn’t sure when we would meet up again. I was sad, really sad, because we were just talking non-stop, and we are so close, even though we live in different countries.

If you understand this feeling, please, ask someone to hug goodbye. Also, please don’t be surprised if I ask to hug you, it’s just because I will miss you a lots.

We should all start a hug goodbye habit, right? Oh Lee Hom, I will miss you, just let me hug you~~ :P

Taipei MUSIC-MAN concert
Shared by Fong

I am sorry for posting this so late when the concerts had already held for more than one month, and only few more days for Singapore concert. However, I am busy with my personal problem. Here I want to tell something, I need help to maintaining this blog at the moment, I try not to close this blog up, and I really wish that you may help me to find or write anything to post up here, or else I will only update the blog when I have anything to write.

Also, I am terribly sorry to Miki, sorry to hold your writing for so long, when I should have posted that for few months, but I really can’t sit in front of the pc lately, and I wish you may understand..

I was happy to meet many people in Taipei concerts, such as the Indo, Philippine, Taiwan and Japanese fans, but I can only talk about them next time, probably after Singapore concert.

18/09/2008 Friday

I went into the arena very late as I was waiting my friend out there and chatted with a new met Taiwan fans. I didn’t have much time to look around, as I entered around 1 quarter before the concert started, but I couldn’t ignore the killing machine (Bahamut) from the stage. My seat was third row, but very left side.

The light dimmed. An announcement was made to tell us what to do and not to do. It was very funny as it told the audiences that you can’t just sit on the chair, you can’t pretend to be cool but not screaming etc. An illustration was showing about the new born hero MUSIC-MAN to move around. It was nice as the LED screen was large and clear (Lee Hom made fun at it later).

There Lee Hom appeared when the LED screen split to different position, with an nice looking but some parts kept falling armor. He looked at the audience, and played the first pitch, here he sang a slow version of Yao Gun Zen Me Le. A firework sparking and he changed the speed to ROCK with a normal version of Yao Gun Zen Me Le. As it was the Rock part, so I didn’t think I would listen to any Chinked-out song, but Lee Hom sang Hua Tian Cuo as in Rock genre, I was so surprised but yet amazed when I heard that. At that moment, I couldn’t stop thinking, Lee Hom, you ROCKS!!!! A Bahamut Solo came after the Rock Hua Tian Cuo, it was so cool, even only that part, I was thinking I made the right decision to go to Taiwan for the concert.

After the fast songs, it was time for Lee Hom to sing the soft songs. Lee Hom said: “The next song is voted by you guys”, then the crowd screamed Ai Cuo. Guess what??? Lee Hom did the same thing as the Jakarta concert, he walked down while he was singing the Forever Love, except it was a planed one. I managed to stand at the first row where Lee Hom would pass by, but the fans were crazy so I ended up to second row (why I am so not good at holding my place -_-??), before Lee Hom walked pass me, I had already walked back to my seat as the fans were really crazy pushing around.

A surprised song was sing by Lee Hom next, that’s An Quan Gan. I had never thought Lee Hom would sing it, I think I should thank Peter Pan to sing this song while he was still in the Star Quest, therefore this song is getting more popular. There was another surprise after that song, because Lee Hom fell back to the back stage. I said fell back because Lee Hom open his arms, and just fell back. Soon he disappeared, there was a video about a man falling into water and do many somersaults and turnings, it was nice to see, but ah hem, Lee Hom, it was obvious the guy wasn’t you.

After 3 years, finally Lee Hom was singing Zhu Lin Shen Chu again, mm, was he singing this because of Bollywood or he already planed to sing it? No matter what, I just love it. Lee Hom said: “Who want to be my girl friend??” We were dying to spoil our throat and said ME!!! The hottie (I know Lee Hom will kill me when he see this) went beat box and sang the song. Yay, Lee Hom, your beat box skill is better than that time you beat box in front of me in Singapore.

Girls are always shy, but this statement is broken in this concert, because all of us were screaming, “I want to love you in a dirty way (Wo Yao Ai Ni Ai De De Ti)”, alright, I admit other fans are singing De Ti, and I was the one sing DIRTY. So what? I admit I love Lee Hom so badly dirty.

The concert screen suddenly playing a Live news (as if) and it was hosted by Hou Pei Chen reporting about the Taiwan concerts, and the SNG linked inside the arena with a reporter Hai Fen, a.k.a Fan Tuan (I like her) interviewing the audience. The first night got Fan Fan (Oh I like her too), Alan Kuo, Yida Wang (guy, I am still sorry for what happened in the water concert), and the junior singing, a.k.a Lee Hom’s Shi Di and Shi Mei, they all sang parts of the Lee Hom songs.

When the interview was finished, Hai Fen introduced the best band (if other fans somehow drop by, please note that it’s a blog for Lee Hom fans, and don’t mean to offence) on Earth, Gai Bian Zi Ji band. Xiao Li, wearing blue, was so excited and walked out. He said something like Wang Lee Hom is busy, so the band is somehow suspended and he was happy to play the drum again. Xiao Li went back to play the drum, and the light was dimming, there’s Xiao Wang and Xiao Hong came out. We were so shocked to see 3 Lee Homs on stage, and we only figured out later, it was time I thought: Lee Hom, you are not just MUSIC-MAN, but a Naughty man as well. After that, the main focus came out, Wang Lee Hom, and they started singing Gai Bian Zi Ji, the crowd went Na Na Na Na Na. The dancers came to solo after this.

Lee Hom came out with a violin, and he started playing the Disney theme (I think it is), When you wish upon a star. The LED screens showed the photos of Lust Caution and then he played and sang Luo Ye Gui Gen. I admit I am a fans who is nice but also mean to Lee Hom. When Lee Hom sang to the hardest part with the highest key, I surprised and turned to talk to my friend: Oh dear, he finally managed to sing it! He did a good job to keep his condition good.

He explained why he played this song, something relate to a director, guess who?! He said, sometimes a simple melody song can touch the people’s heart, and next I want to sing a song, a very simple song (of course we all know what he was going to sing then). It was touching for the whole hall sing that simplest song Lee Hom has ever composed so far.

When you go to Lee Hom’s concerts, you know one part would come out, it’s only sooner or later, and that’s the piano love songs. Lee Hom sang Ni Bu Zai (a song that’s really memorable and meaningful to me, so I was about to cry specially in this hardest moment of my life), Wei Yi and Ai De Gu Li (I smiled again when I heard this song, that’s the power of MUSIC-MAN).

It was time for Lee Hom to greet the fans, and actually he started from the center to the right side, and only back to left side. I just can’t explain why I did something I wasn’t planning at all, it was screaming another country in stead of my own country. When Lee Hom was walking back to our side, he was looking at me as I was the one holding Malaysia banner, at that very moment, I screamed: “Philippine” and pointed to the front where the Filipino fans sat. Our hero was stunned and surprised, and then he went to greet those fans, and what’s coming up next? He just went to greet Taiwan fans and totally forgot Malaysia. I am not blaming him, because I knew my move misleading him to think that he should have already greeted us, otherwise for normal fans, they don’t point to other country like this.

He said some sweet things (of course he meant it from the bottom of his heart) about Taipei, and it was time for him to talk about his deep feeling. He said that he wasn’t the optimist and bright person we thought, and he isn’t that perfect, whatever he want and try to do is just his music and the voices from the outsiders won’t affect him. He was in a sad face, and suddenly turned to a 20% angry 80% naughty face to say: I know you have many comments on my new songs and I read many of them from the Internet.

As if singing to those fans or people, he sang a song I would love to hear him singing for long time, Can You Feel My World. When Lee Hom was singing that song, whatever I read was flashing in my brain, and I did feel bad to Lee Hom as he had already got many pressures on his shoulders, and we fans should just support his music. Lee Hom, if you ever read this, I just want to scream out loud, Yao Gun Zen Me Le is nice, and I love it.. Overall, I am just having a minor problem for the MV as I am an aged woman now, I couldn’t stand such MV.

Lee Hom was really trying different thing, and he danced!!! I don’t want to comment much on his dancing, but it was a funny part while he was doing the breaking dance, and when he was just using one hand to hold the upside-down pose, the light went off. I know it was nice to set like that because you couldn’t hold for long, but it’s a shame that the light went of when you just turned.

The meanie appeared in my personality again when he was wearing a half purple kilt, I don’t want to talk about it, because the fans will just kill me. Oh well, ah hem, Lee Hom, I just didn’t expect to see you wearing the kilt, even though it was just a half one. I know Scottish square pattern is in the recent fashion top 5 patterns, but a half kilt really made me laugh. Luckily I am those fans who are more concern about your music (then what on earth I was just commenting on the kilt?!).

When wearing the half kilt, Lee Hom sang another new song, it is something about the people should just made negative comments when we need more encouraging in stead. Because they didn’t show the lyrics on the screen, so I didn’t really know the meaning as I didn’t want to focus on listening the lyric but didn’t enjoy the song.

Another “magic” trick came next while Lee Hom was singing the Zai Mei Bian, but this time the trick was so obvious so we didn’t get surprised to see him vanished from the box. Do you think there’s really no surprise? Of course there was still a surprise when Lee Hom appeared at the different floor. What surprised us? 1) Lee Hom appeared to so near the crowd. 2) Did MUSIC-MAN flied to there? If not how could he make it in so less time?! He was singing Gai Shi Ying Xiong in this magical moment.

The “last song” he sang was Xin Zhong De Ri Yue, and then saying goodbye to us. The light went off, and the crowd screamed Encore.

Suddenly, a new modal of Sony Ericsson on the screen (it was a good idea), and there was an incoming call from Lee Hom. Before we managed to answer (as if we can), it turned to the walkman mode and start playing Fang Kai Ni De Xin. Followed by the Ai Ni Deng Yu Ai Zi Ji, and he was still playing the same gag: When I say Taiwan You say Yo!, If you want me to carry on, please clap etc..

After that he went back to the piano and played Da Chen Xiao Ai. Just right after the song, the kid ran back to the front and start rocking the audience by singing Yao Gun Zen Me Le. The concert ended when we all sang What’s wrong with me, wr o ong with me!! With many papers flying down, the view was just so nice and beautiful.

Something to add on, but I am not sure which part:
1) When Lee Hom just came out, we called him Lee Hom, but the naughty kid said he isn’t Lee Hom, but a MUSIC-MAN.
2) Some crews went up to apply the foundation base on his face. Lee Hom looked innocent and asked: Do I look better like this? The crowd said: you are very handsome. That guy went a bit shy and happy and said: Oh you are so sweet.
3) The crowd was pretty calmed and quiet, and finally some people were awake and started screaming. Lee Hom was enjoying that and said to the fans: You should stand here to listen. A fans screamed loud: I want!!! Lee Hom was so freaking surprised, but he still let the fans went up, with bare feet. Lee Hom was kind of laughing and said: You didn’t wear any shoes.

20/09/2008 Saturday

Please, I don’t want to write the same thing again, but just some add on. Oh well, if you want to read the same thing again, I can just copy and paste if you want to, I don’t mind to do that extra thing :P.

The second day I went in earlier, so I managed to take photos of the flowers. Well, the flowers from the fans club were located just somewhere restrict from fans, but the guards just let me took some photos, it reminded me the moment in Jakarta as well, when I couldn’t go in, but the guards just let me in to take the photos.

Alright, just something special for that night:

1) Because I said at the first row (thanks to Hom2usic station), so the camera men just recording us a lot of times. Actually I found that he (the same one) wanted to record us last night, but he didn’t manage to. Anyway, when he just turned the camera to us, I started acting high. I was high for the concert of course, but for the camera, I acted like I was so high.

2) The crowd this time was awesome, but still a bit too crazy and scary. Lee Hom was surprised to see us leaving our butts from the seat just before he sang the first song. We were like a punch of roaring and jumping monkeys ( I said it in good way).

3) For the Forever Love part, Lee Hom still walked down, but this time there were
many people holding hands in front of us as to protect the fragile and valuable Lee Hom. Seem like I am having no luck, because even though I was at the first row, but Lee Hom just walked far away when he walked pass me to sing -_-).

4) The same Live News again, with slightly different contents. Hai Fen was there as well, but this time was the closest homie of Lee Hom, blackie, Vivian (I screamed louder when I see her than seeing Lee Hom, many people know she is my goddess.), Peter Pan and his Star Quest gang ( I couldn’t stop wondering why Peter thought when Lee Hom sang An Quan Gan). Hai Fen asked Blackie to sing, but he was to shy and said he needed to prepare, so Hai Fen turned the mic to Vivian. Vivian promised to pre order 100 Lee Hom’s new albums. Hai Fen turned the mic back to Blackie again, and he said he promised to.. to borrow 50 thousand Taiwan Dollar from Lee Hom. After that he sang Liu Lei Shou Xin, but the first time he didn’t sing it well, so we all laugh out loud (please, please put it into the DVD).

5) Durign the Gai Bian Zi Ji part, as we knew the trick, but wasn't quite sure, so when Xiao Li came out, my friends just went to the front to see if it was Lee Hom. I couldn't stop laughing at the side specially when I saw Lee Hom was looking at them, perhaps he was thinking: what's wrong with those fans?!

6) Lee Hom vanished when he was singing Zai Mei Bian again, but before he appeared, we saw many people at our side, it means.. Lee Hom was going to walk pass there. We went there to queue up, and a Taiwan fans asked me what happen, I said Lee Hom would pass by here. The crowd when crazy when Lee Hom turned up, and he was somehow scared by some fans as I saw his face expression. Again, I said I am not good at holding place, the Taiwan fans I talked to just went in front of me and kept on jumping -_-. While Lee Hom walked pass us, his face was blanked and no more friendly smile, oh boy, please remember it wasn’t our problem, it was just.. you are too hot to turn us crazy.

7) That guy finally mentioned Malaysia this time, and even said Terima Kasih (thanks in Malaysia and Indonesia language), without a second of hesitating, I screamed back Terima Kasih (Alright, I regret it, and our kind boy please don’t put it into the DVD because the camera was just recording in front of me). Lee Hom even said Tuan-tuan dan puan-puan (means ladies and gentlemen), but a Malaysia fans pointed out and said: Hey, there is no tuan-tuan (gentlemen) here. When he greeted Indonesia fans, he turned back to ask Jamie, is Indonesia also Terima Kasih? Jamie just nodded in a cute way.

8) I can't quite remember which part, but there was once Lee Hom was singing, and looked at me when I was just about to drink the water. You know, I was about to raise the bottle to my lip, and when Lee Hom was just looking at me, I quickly put the bottle behind my banner and we gang laughed out loud. The camera man saw that we were so happy, so he just turned the camera to us, therefore I had to keep that smile and sing along with Lee Hom until he turned the camera away, only then I managed to drink the water.

9) When Lee Hom was singing Da Chen Xiao Ai, that kid seemed to lost his mind already, he just sit on the piano and sang the song in Jazzy way with some funny but very sexy poses.

10) When he thanked the people, he said my mom is here as well, and sang as the Wei Yi melody, even though I don’t know where you are sitting. That guy was so funny and said: I need to thanks the overseas fans as well, thanks for giving me your spare time to come to Taiwan.

11) Lee Hom sang another new song tonight, just a very short one, and it remind me of Wei Yi when other people think another song - Finaly. Perhaps Lee Hom was out of voice soon, so when he sang the high key, he didn't manage to make it, and he was hiding himself to the piano as he felt embarassing. He asked the fans to delete that moment (Hello, no recording and photo, dear, do you think we recorded?!), and prepare the SONY ERICSSON phone to record a better one. That's song is about you are my everything etc.

12) Lee Hom talked yellow (contain 18++) joke, well, he didn’t really mean it. He made fun at how clear the LED screens are, and asked the fans in third floor if they can see his pimples. He said the hair is very shiny, and paused, then he touched his hair and said: Oh, it’s so hard. He looked at us with a face meant don’t think it wrongly and said: I was talking about my hair. We went laughing when we heard that, and ah hem, Lee Hom, was you hinting anything?!

13) At last, which is the part I am not happy at, may be I am so different from other fans while the rests were so excited and happy, LEE HOM JUMPED DOWN FROM THE STAGE. Hello, do you know how dangerous it is? I am not only talking about the jumping, but also the crazy fans (we might hurt him and we might hurt ourselves from pushing etc). When I was walking to his way, but I didn’t mean to touch him or what, just kept a safe distance, Lee Hom fell down just in front of me, and so did the fans beside him. It wasn’t a funny matter, and I was stunned at that time. That monkey was still laughing naughtily with eye rolling (alright, even though you were cute, but doesn’t mean you can do such dangerous thing), he just went and climbed to the second floor while the fans expected to shake his hand, he hugged the fans. Finally the crew caught him and sent him back to stage.

14) Overall, Lee Hom didn't sing as good as 18/09/2008, as some parts he just couldn't sing it well or manage it well. I was sweating while he was singing Luo Ye Gui Gen, thanks god he sang it as perfect as the previous night.

There is one part I felt very happy, well, it had nothing to do with MUSIC-MAN, but MUSIC-MAN’s guitar teacher, Jamie Wilson. For the first night, we screamed his name after the concert, even though there were many people blocking us, but he still waved to our side as he knew we screamed that. The second night, this friendly guitar star walked in front of me (or he just happened to stand in front of me) to wave at me while Lee Hom was singing, because I was waving for whole night, so I didn’t show any special sign I saw him, he even pointed at me to make sure I know he was waving at me, then I was just smiling. After the concert, we screamed to him again, and he just walked in front of us. May be I was just too high, so even though it wasn’t far, but I was just screaming some rubbishes to him without really listen to his replies. Oh, Jamie, thanks for the friendly moves, I was so happy to see that.

Gees, this thing is so long, and I will only make Chinese translation later, or anyone is kind to help me? I will also link some photos here later, but I didn't take any photos.

51st Merdeka
Shared by Fong, Malaysia

Today is Malaysia’s 51st Merdeka day. What is Merdeka? Merdeka means Independence. Yes, today is Malaysia’s 51st birthday.

Since we are talking Homies of Earth, of course we, Malaysian fans would like to share our happiness with all the Homies, and on the other hand, we would love to hear the independence story or celebration for the independent day or national day in your country, it is a way to shorten our distance also.

On 30th of August, there are always counts down in several places. The most popular one of course is the Dataran Merdeka (Merdeka Square), there are always many of people. I read the newspaper just now, and they said it was about 10 thousand people there. Another famous spot for count down is Sungei Wang, because they always invited local or overseas mandarin pop singers over. However, it was too packed there, as I experienced in for the New Year count down in year1999 (long time ago), so I don’t go there for count down anymore.

Yesterday, after attending a birthday dinner, my mom and I went to the Curve for the Merdeka celebration. I had been bugging my brother for so long, and finally he agreed that I could go with him, since he was going there to meet his friend. My mom was in blue yesterday, so I asked her to hang around with me.

We reached the Curve at 10pm, and it wasn’t as many people as I expected, and we were still able to park the car easily. All the shops were closed, and my brother left us to join his friends. Mom and I went to look at live concert which is at the middle on the road, there was road block for this special day. There was a rock band sang several rock songs, English and Malaysia language. They sang Hey Jude as well, but I really think they better stick with rock songs.

Mom was tired, so we went to find somewhere for her to sit. While she was sitting there, I was looking around, it was fun to see so many Malaysians gather together, just like the host said, we were there not because of the free show, not because of the fireworks (I think mostly because of this), but because we like the smell of many Malaysians gather together (just example). I was watching many people, like the kids, playing the snowflakes or paper spray, some was just to kill time to spray around, some was crazy to make their friends like snowman. There were many cute kids hanging out with parents. I saw a Malay girl throwing her balloon to far way for her dad to pick up several times to tease her dad, until her dad said: “I am tired”.

I wanted to walk around, but it was shocking to see it was raining. It was not heavy, so the young people were still playing on the road. It rained for almost 1 hour, and luckily it stopped before counting down.

I saw a Chinese boy toddle around, so his parents just let him toddling, just within a minute, the boy used the speed like running 100m to run forward, so his dad quickly went to chase him. All the people around were just laughing while watching it, we were not laughing at them, but it just nice to see such funny, but warm moment. At the same times, there was a Malay parent to bring their twin girls (I think should twins or just one year gap) behind me. The girls were biting the glowing stick, so the Chinese boy went in front of them and looked so curious. The girls’ mom gave him a glowing stick, and soon he got it, he bite it also, because he though it was some sort of snack. Anyway, isn’t it nice to see how harmony the Malaysians are? Races are not the matter for us, the citizens, it’s only the matter for the politicians to make story at.

We were standing very far from the stage, and the people around us were a bit too clamed, so I asked mom to go near the stage with me. Mom was scared by the crazy people who sprayed the snowflakes around, as she said she is old now, she can’t stand to wash her hair at night. Since I asked for several times, finally she agreed and we walked over. While we were walking there, I was like her body guard in case she got sprayed.

When we just found a nice position, there was just around 7 minutes for Merdeka day. We enjoying the songs sang by a Malay guy, and watching the time passed by. Finally, one minute left, we were all so excited. I was expecting a Malay count down, tiga (three), dua (two), satu (one), but it was an English one, perhaps because there were some foreigners as well.

Count as 10, and at last three, two, one.. All of us went crazy, the people around started spraying the snowflakes around. We really found a nice spot, so we didn’t get sprayed, but my mom still scared and covered her head, so I went to comfort her. All Chinese, Malay, Indian and foreigners was so high, we shouted Merdeka for 3 times, and sang our National anthem – Negaraku (My country, direct translate, not sure the national translate).

Here it was, the fireworks we had been waiting for. It was just around 6 minutes fireworks, but out of my expected, the fireworks are pretty nice. I was thinking to see the traditional fireworks I saw as kid, but I saw the hibiscus, our national flower and coconut tree (only the top part). The last 2 extremely large fireworks made all the people: wow.

I didn’t go to such counts down for very long time, as I can remember, the last count down I went should be the New Year count down in 1999. My family and I didn’t go to such activity together for really long time. It was really nice to go with mom, even though we were too tired afterward, but I can’t stop imagining, what will it be when my mom reaches her 70, and I still count down with her and my kids.

Every year, on National day (today), there is a parade in the early morning. I was planning to go, and even bugged my brother to go with me. However, when I woke up this morning, mm, this afternoon, my body was too sour. Well, I heard people saying the parade now is not that nice, compared to the past 10 years. Alright, I will watch the news today and see how the parade goes, if it is nice, may be I will go next year.

Anyway, MERDEKA! MERDEKA! MERDEKA! (Why 3 times? Because 51 years ago, Tukun Abdul Rahman said Merdeka for 3 times while he announced independence of Malaya in year 1957, 31st August in Melaka.)

Sorry, I am still tired (have been standing for hours, and helping my mom to massage to help her to kill time -_- ), so no Chinese translation yet. Anyone kind enough to translate?

Malaysia flags beside the live concert.

All the people gathered together, no matter Malaysians or Foreigners. Chinese, Malay or Indians, we are all Malaysians.

Snowing in Malaysia? The people went crazy for the fake snowflakes.

Fireworks!!!

It was really nice, but didn't manage to catch too many by the camera.

Can you see the hibiscus? It's the red fireworks came down first, and then got the blue shooting out at the middle.. There were a couple of "hibiscus" I saw, but only managed to take this one. I think the yellow and green fireworks might be it's leaves.

Memorable Beijing Olympics
Shared by Fong, Malaysia

Sorry for no updating lately, because I am personally busy at the moment, and I was hooked up by the Olympics Game, so I was just sitting in front of the telly for hours. I will try my best to update the blog, but please visit often even though it seems so empty. Again, please share any writing, information or ANYTHING with us.

Alright, back to the topic, Beijing Olympics is over now, and it was so awesome, I would like to know your opinions, just anything about Beijing Olympics.

For me, I love the Opening Ceremony, it’s so wonderful. I love the transforming of the Chinese words, this part was just too shocking. When the men came out and holding the bamboo scrolls, they said it’s all brothers and sisters in four seas, at the same times, they somehow used the bamboo scrolls as instruments to make some sounds, it was just awesome. And thanks to Lee Hom, I fast knew that’s Kun Qu when the 2 dressed up people shown up on the TV. Since I mentioned the Opening, the way of Li Nin lighting up the fire is so a topic that many people discussed lately, it’s so touching.

During the 16 days, the sport that I was focusing on was Artistic Gymnastic, I was just catching them live, and just put everything aside. My favorite female gymnast is Nastia Liukin, she is so pretty and her gymnastic moves are like dancing. My favorite male teams are China and Japan, and I have got a number of favorite male gymnasts. One of my favorite is Yang Wei, and I just knew he was in an advertising with Lee Hom before, as Lee Hom mentioned on the Coca Cola Gold celebration, well, my focus was just on Lee Hom, so I didn’t see other people :P .

The most memorable moment of course is when Malaysia got a silver medal. When Lee Chong Wei just won the Singapore Badminton player, I told my brother, I would be so happy if Lee won a bronze, but Lee had done so well to win us a silver medal. It was nice to see Malaysia flag hanging up again after 12 years. Even though there is still not playing Malaysia anthem, but I am already satisfied, Lee Chong Wei is my new hero, and I bet many Malaysians would think so.

Time has passed very fast, the Opening Ceremony as if just happened yesterday, and it was time for the Closing Ceremony. Since the Opening Ceremony was a huge success, so I was so looking forward for the Closing, and the most important, our Hero, or recent known as Music Man, was going to perform. Well, I don’t want to comment much on the closing, but again, the way of distinguish the fire is just so memorable, it was like reminding the people who were catching the Olympics a lot of moments. While watching they showing the videos for the 16 days, I recalled some moments, such as Liukin won the gold medal for the individual all-around, a Japanese fell down from the ring, how well Li Xiao Peng did for the parallel bar (all gymnastics), Lee Chong Wei went into the final and won the silver medal, Male volleyball won the gold medal again after 20 year.. There was ways too many moments for me, and then the fire slowly distinguish. I like the London 8 minutes as well, it was like bringing the audience from a historical mood back to modern world, however, I think their performance was nice for watching from TV, but not quite suitable for the big stage. I was trying to say, for the London show, you have too look really detail, but when it comes to performing within a stadium, that’s just not enough, I am not an expert, so I don’t want to comment much, but I am looking forward for the London Olympics’ Opening Ceremony.

At last, I really want to ask Lee Hom, who was the stylist for that night? (I don’t have any special meaning :P).
